FAQ

  • The first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation which takes about 60 minutes in length and is a comprehensive review of your past mental health, medical, and social histories as well as the symptoms that prompted this visit.

    After the first visit, medication management visits are typically 30 minutes or less in length and scheduled monthly.

    For psychotherapy or combined treatment (medication management + psychotherapy), visits are typically 45 minutes in length and weekly in frequency. Depending on your specific needs, visits may initially be more or less frequent.

  • We have an in-person office in Midtown Manhattan on 31st Street and 5th Avenue.

    We also provide virtual visits in the state of NY. Please be advised even for virtual visits, you must be physically located in the state of NY during the visit.

  • Yes! We have providers who are currently in-network with Aetna, United Healthcare/Oxford, Cigna and Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield plans through Headway.

    Our self-pay and out-of-network rates are:

    $400 for the initial psychiatric evaluation (60 minutes)

    $300 for psychotherapy visits with or without medication management (up to 45 minutes)

    $250 for medication management visits (up to 30 minutes)

    **Crystal Kim, NP accepts patients on a limited basis and is an out-of-network provider. Please inquire for her rates and availability.

  • Please fill out our contact form and we will reach out to schedule your screening call with our Director, Crystal Kim, NP. This call is complimentary and will help us assess whether we are the right fit for your needs, and also answer important questions you may have about the intake process. The call takes about 15 minutes in length.

  • It depends.

    Our priority is to use visit time to focus on your care and treatment. As an in-network practice, we aim to keep appointments centered on clinical needs rather than administrative tasks.

    Requests for forms (e.g., disability, FMLA, school/work accommodations) require additional time outside of visits. For this reason, form completion is billed separately.

    This ensures our providers are able to give these requests the time and attention they require, while continuing to provide accessible, high-quality care during appointments. The fees are the following:

    1 page letter or form: $100

    2+ page letter or form: $200

    If you are a new patient, we are not able to complete a school/work accommodation after the first visit as we are still getting to know you. If the form is appropriate, we will consider completing it after the 3rd visit.

    We no longer complete letters or forms for Emotional Support Animals.
