Nicole Meade, CNM, NP

A board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife who integrates an empathetic and patient-centered approach to mental health care.

Nicole Meade is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through reproductive, emotional, and psychological transitions. She provides conscientious medication management and supportive psychotherapy for adults with a range of mental health concerns, with a special interest in women’s mental health across the reproductive life cycle.

Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, and her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Pace University.

Nicole has experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a midwife and former OB/GYN nurse practitioner, she has extensive experience supporting women experiencing PMDD, infertility, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, the challenges of parenting, as well as pregnancy and infant loss.

Nicole takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. She works with each patient to understand their medical history, lived experience, and treatment goals. Treatment plans may include evidence-based medication management, behavioral strategies, and coordination with therapists or other providers when appropriate. She holds a certification in Contemplative Psychotherapy from the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science and incorporates mindfulness and compassion-based principles into her clinical work.
